Outreach Mission’s fundraiser – A Home for the Holidays

The Triangle Land Conservancy’s First Saturday Hike will be at Horton Grove Nature Preserve (Jock Road) in Bahama on November 5th from 10 until noon. Veterans Day Ceremony

The Moore County Veterans Memorial (1030 Carriage Oaks Drive) in Carthage will be holding a Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 5th from noon until 2:00 with a featured speaker, presentation of Colors, laying of wreaths, WWII Reenactment and helicopter displays, patriotic music, bagpiper, and lunch catered by Pete's Restaurant which is included.

Field of Honor

Vietnam Veterans Chapter 966 will hold their annual Field of Honor with over 400 American flags displayed honoring veterans and active-duty service members. The Field of Honor will be on display from Sunday November 6th through Sunday November 13th at the West End Fire Department. Taps will be played each night at sunset.

Central Carolina Community College (1105 Kelly Drive) in Sanford will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at 11:00 Thursday, November 10th at the Lee Main Campus’ flagpoles. The program will include ceremonies performed by cadets from the Army ROTC battalion based at Campbell University. The event is open to the public.

The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 5 will be hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11th at 11:00 at the North Carolina Veterans Memorial Pavilion (210 South Main Street) in Broadway. Touch-a-Truck

The Pocket Presbyterian Church’s Touch-a-Truck event will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 10 until 1. The event will showcase antique and emergency vehicles. Hotdogs will be served.
