Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food drive

National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food drive is Saturday, May 13th. Participating in this year’s Food Drive is simple. Just leave a non-perishable food donation in a bag by your mailbox Saturday, May 13th and your letter carrier will do the rest. These donations go directly to a local food pantry.

Springfest Yard Sale

The Westminster Presbyterian Church’s Springfest Yard Sale is on Saturday, May 13th from 7 until noon. The church is located at 2505 Village Drive in Fayetteville. All proceeds help children of Cumberland County.

Grip It ‘N Rip It Golf Tournament

Grip It ‘N Rip It Golf Tournament is on Monday, May 15th at the Governors Club Golf Course (11000 Governors Drive) in Chapel Hill. The event benefits the Durham Rescue Mission. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit DurhamRescueMission.org.

Grand Opening

The Salvation Army of Chatham County’s Grand Opening for its new location will be on Thursday, May 18th starting at 10 am. Join the Salvation Army in celebrating at 126 Village Lake Road in Siler City. There are limited seats, so RSVP to Rebecca at 336-763-6402.

Spring Plate Sale

Don’t cook on Friday, May 19th. Tramway Baptist Church (2401 Jefferson Davis Highway) in Sanford is cooking up a feast for their Spring Plate Sale. Plates include BBQ chicken, baked beans and cole slaw. Donation is $10. Sale starts at 11:00 and runs until the food is gone. Eat in or drive through.
