The February meeting of the Sandhills Photography Club will be a competition titled “Shapes and Patterns.” Pattern photography involves capturing the recurrence of similar shapes, designs, textures, and objects in images. Incorporating patterns into our photos serves as an effective method to enhance their visual appeal. Mastering pattern photography demands a discerning eye for detail, coupled with an understanding of composition, lighting, and perspective to craft compelling images that showcase the patterns and textures discovered. The competition will be judged by Tom Johnson, a nature and wildlife photographer from Charlotte, NC. Guests are welcome.
