Weymouth Woods (Sandhills Nature Preserve) located at 1024 Fort Bragg Road in Southern Pines will host “Sandhills Invaders” at 3 pm on Sunday, August 5th. Thousands of plant and animal species have been brought to the US from other countries, and some can wreak havoc on native ecosystems. Learn about some of the invasive species we find in the Sandhills, and some things you can do to help prevent their spread. This program is free and open to the public.
