The American Red Cross urges donors to give blood or platelets to ensure the blood supply remains ready for those in need of lifesaving medical procedures. The next blood drive in Lee County will be on February 29 from 10 am to 2:30 pm at the Central Carolina Hospital on 1135 Carthage Street in Sanford.
