The City of Sanford has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Central Carolina to offer the second annual Sanford Youth Academy for high schoolers. The program will run the week of July 9 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for boys and girls in rising ninth through twelfth grades at the Boys & Girls Clubs facility on Bragg Street. The teen program is free, but participants must register by June 29. Lunch and a snack is included. The goal for the Sanford Youth Academy is to strengthen relationships between local youth and first responders, while also exposing youth to potential career paths.
